Scout Trip Day 3

1–2 minutes

To read

Its Monday and we all crashed hard last night after the first day on the water. I hope we all kept the tent flaps zippered tight to keep the mosquitoes out. We head farther into the back country today, on rivers and lakes currently unknown. Our energy is still high and the nature is beautiful at every turn. The scouts by this point are aching for their phones, but surviving nonetheless. I’m pretty sure one of our scouts caught us fish for dinner, but that remains to be seen. We kept all our gear dry I hope and have not started to smell to bad yet from a lack of showering, but we are all boys and men, so who really cares. As the scouts didn’t want to arduous of a journey, I think the paddling will be relatively easy. There is some rain in the forecast for today and tomorrow and I hope we all have secured our gear properly. We shall see and I shall report more upon returning.
