Scout Trip Day 5

1–2 minutes

To read

Wednesday morning, the sun finally showed its face, and if the scouts held true to their pre-trip planning worksheet, this will be our day of rest, a day to relax, get the feeling back in our fingers from paddling all day, and enjoy the sights and lack of sound around us. Perhaps we are on the edge of a lake, or maybe on the side of a river somewhere. I know not where we are, but I do know its my birthday and I’m surrounded by 8 scouts who are having the time of their life. Memories are being created and hopefully no issues have arisen between any of the scouts. This trip will test their resolve, their problem solving capabilities, and their ability to resolve conflicts (hopefully minimal if any). I’m 44 today and can’t wait to see what the rest of today holds.
